NEW DELHI: JD(U) supremo Nitish Kumar on Wednesday was elected as leader of the party’s legislature group at a meeting of newly elected MLAs in Patna. Meanwhile, BJP leaders Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Sinha were elected as the leader and the deputy leader of BJP legislature party respectively.
Leaders of JD(U) and NDA held long discussions on Tuesday. Until its numbers fell sharply in 2020, the JD(U) had been the dominant partner ever since the two parties first won a state election together in 2005.The oath-taking ceremony of the new government is scheduled to take place at Patna’s Gandhi Maidan on November 20.
