NEW DELHI: PM Modi termed NDA’s landslide performance as “sushasan ki jeet (victory of good governance)”, in what was seen as an endorsement of the continuation of Nitish Kumar as CM. Nitish is popular among his followers as “Sushasan Babu”, claiming to have effected a turnaround in the past 20 years by improving law and order, and development. “Victory of development has been achieved. Victory of the spirit of public welfare has been achieved. Victory of social justice has been achieved,” Modi posted on X. “I congratulate all NDA leaders for their wonderful work and CM Nitish Kumar for his leadership,” Modi said, allaying apprehensions about Nitish’s continuation as CM even as BJP emerged as the single largest party.The opposition had claimed that BJP would not reappoint Nitish as CM.Also read: With promises & warnings, Shah turned around ‘aggrieved souls’
