Bihar Assembly Election Results 2025 Highlights: NDA crosses halfway-mark in early trends; MGB lags behind

NEW DELHI: Bihar moves into the verdict stage on Friday as counting began at 8 am, alongside bypoll results for eight assembly seats across six states as well as union territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

NDA seat sharing

Early trends in the Bihar elections show the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) crossing the halfway mark, widening its lead over the Mahagathbandhan. By 9:15 am, the NDA was ahead in 130 seats, while the Mahagathbandhan led in 65, indicating a conversion rate of about 27%.

MGB friendly fights

The Bharatiya Janata Party led the tally with 60 seats, followed by its ally Janata Dal (United) with 54. Together, the two parties posted an average conversion rate of around 67%.Follow: Bihar Election Results 2025 Live UpdatesThe Mahagathbandhan trailed with leads in only 75 seats. Tejashwi Yadav’s RJD was ahead in 49, while its allies were underperforming: the Congress led in 16 seats and the CPI(ML) Liberation in six. Within the alliance, the RJD posted the highest conversion rate at 36 per cent. Bihar voted in two phases on November 6 and 11. Counting for all 243 assembly seats will be completed on Friday, with results expected by evening.
