Roger Waters sparked outrage after dismissing Ozzy Osbourne’s death, prompting a fiery response from Ozzy’s son Jack, who slammed Waters as “pathetic.”
Rogers Waters and Ozzy Osbourne are rock legends in their own right. But the two have been dragged into a row following recent comments by the former Pink Floyd frontman in the backdrop of Ozzy’s recent death.

Osbourne, who founded Black Sabbath – one of the iconic heavy metal bands – passed at the age of 76 on July 22, 2025. Given his stature in rock music, Osbourne’s passing dominated headlines as loyal fans remembered the ‘Prince of Darkness.’
However, Roger Waters, the former lead of the rock band Pink Floyd, has said in a recent podcast appearance that he is not a fan of late Ozzy Osbourne and “couldn’t care less” about his recent death. The comment has irked many fans of Osbourne’s fans, including his son, Jack Osbourne, who hit out at Waters.
“Hey Roger Waters, f*** you,” Jack Osbourne wrote in a post on X. “How pathetic and out of touch you’ve become. The only way you seem to get attention these days is by vomiting out bullshit in the press. My father always thought you were a c*** — thanks for proving him right. 🤡”

What Did Roger Waters Say About Ozzy?
In a recent appearance on The IndependentInk podcast, Waters was asked about the influence of Ozzy Osbourne on rock music. Waters seemed to go on a rant on Osbourne, taking a dig at his drug use, and criticizing the music of Black Sabbath.
“Ozzy Osbourne, who just died, bless him in his whatever that state that he was in his whole life. We’ll never know. The music, I have no idea. I couldn’t give a f***,” he said.
“I don’t care about Black Sabbath, I never did. Have no interest in biting the heads of chickens or whatever they do. I couldn’t care less, you know.”
