India struggled for rhythm throughout the innings, as batters repeatedly failed to convert starts into big scores.
Openers Smriti Mandhana (23) and Pratika Rawal (31) shared a 48-run partnership, giving India a solid start. However, regular wickets stalled momentum.
Following the dismissal of Harmanpreet Kaur for 19, Harleen Deol (46) and Jemimah Rodrigues (32) added 45 runs for the fourth wicket, steadying India during a challenging period. Later, senior all-rounders Deepti Sharma (25) and Sneh Rana (20) contributed 42 runs for the sixth wicket, helping to stabilise the innings.
Richa Ghosh’s explosive 20-ball knock at the end provided crucial impetus, taking India to a competitive total of 247 in their allotted 50 overs. Pakistan’s Diana Baig starred with the ball, taking 4/69, while Fatima Sana supported with 2/38.
India will hope this total provides a platform as they aim to maintain their dominance over Pakistan in the ODI format.
