Sahibzada Farhan starred for Pakistan with a stylish 58 off 45 balls, while a dropped catch by Kuldeep Yadav off Varun Chakravarthy proved costly.
Pakistan had scored 91/1 in a brilliant front-10, powered by a 72-run partnership between Farhan and Saim Ayub (21 off 17 balls), but their scoring slowed in the back-10, adding just 80 runs for the loss of four wickets.
Dube (2/33 in 4 overs) struck crucial blows after the drinks break. He trapped Ayub with a cleverly bowled delivery that forced a one-legged pull-shot, snaffled by a diving Abhishek Sharma.
Farhan, after a 34-ball fifty, was deceived by Dube’s change of pace and was caught easily by Chakravarthy. Hussain Talat, a new entrant, also fell cheaply to Kuldeep.
Credit also goes to Varun Chakravarthy (0/25 in 4 overs), whose disciplined overs stemmed the run flow and allowed Dube to pick key wickets.
Towards the end, Salman Ali Agha (17 not out off 13 balls) and Mohammed Nawaz (21 off 19 balls) added quick runs, while Dube leaked 17 in the final over.
However, Jasprit Bumrah (0/45 in 4 overs) struggled, conceding six boundaries in his Powerplay spell. Faheem Ashraf finished with a monster six in the penultimate over to take Pakistan past 170, leaving India with a challenging total to defend.
