Speaking of the numbers, Billboard reported that the Official Release Party of Showgirl dominated the domestic box office by debuting at number 1, and is expected to surpass $35 million in the opening weekend.
DiCaprio’s One Battle After Another dropped to second position at the box office, earning 43 per cent less than its opening day collection, as per the Daily Mail. The Rock’s The Smashing Machine is expected to earn $6 million in its opening million, as per Billboard, far below initial projections of $12-$14 million.
