The BCCI shared a behind-the-scenes video from the Asia Cup 2025 final that captured the raw emotions inside the Indian dressing room during the tense final moments against Pakistan. With 10 runs needed from the last over, the clip showed Hardik Pandya, Kuldeep Yadav, skipper Suryakumar Yadav, head coach Gautam Gambhir and other staff members watching nervously as Tilak Varma took strike against Haris Rauf. The mood shifted dramatically on the second ball when Tilak struck Rauf for a towering six. Gambhir leapt from his seat, banged the table and roared in celebration, which was an uncharacteristic outburst from a coach who is usually known for his serious demeanour. Moments later, as Rinku Singh struck the winning boundary to complete a five-wicket victory, Gambhir headed straight to the ground. He embraced Tilak, whose unbeaten 69 became the heart of India’s chase, before posing with young openers Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma in celebration.Watch Gambhir’s fiery celebration here For fans, the video offered a rare glimpse into Gambhir’s lighter and more passionate side, as opposed to his usual composed presence on the sidelines. Earlier, India’s spinners laid the foundation for victory after opting to bowl first. Pakistan’s openers Sahibzada Farhan (57 off 38) and Fakhar Zaman (46 off 35) added 84 runs inside 10 overs to set up what looked like a big total. However, Kuldeep Yadav (4/30), Varun Chakravarthy (2/30) and Axar Patel (2/26) triggered a collapse, with Pakistan losing nine wickets for just 33 runs. Jasprit Bumrah chipped in with 2/25 as Pakistan were bowled out for 146 in 19.1 overs. In reply, India faced pressure but held their ground. Tilak’s unbeaten half-century and Shivam Dube’s 33 steadied the chase before the final push. India sealed the deal with two balls to spare, clinching their second T20 Asia Cup title and a third win over Pakistan in this edition of the tournament. While Tilak’s composure and Kuldeep’s brilliance stole the show on the field, Gambhir’s passionate reaction off it became one of the best moments of the night.
